Haematogenesis: the formation of blood cells in the living body (especially in the bone marrow).

Osteomyelitis: an inflammation of bone and bone marrow (usually caused by bacterial infection).

Albers-Schonberg Disease: an inherited disorder characterized by an increase in bone density; in severe forms the bone marrow cavity may be obliterated.

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: acute leukemia characterized by proliferation of immature lymphoblast-like cells in bone marrow, lymph nodes, spleen, and blood; most common in children.

Myeloid: of or relating to bone marrow.

Medullary: containing or consisting of or resembling bone marrow.

Marrowbone: a bone containing edible marrow; used especially in flavoring soup.

Megakaryocyte: a large bone marrow cell; regarded as the source of blood platelets.

Osteogenic Sarcoma: malignant bone tumor; most common in children and young adults where it tends to affect the femur.

Seminoma: malignant tumor of the testis; usually occurring in older men.

Meningioma: a tumor arising in the meninges which surround the brain and spinal cord; usually slow growing and sometimes malignant.

Carcinoid: a small tumor (benign or malignant) arising from the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract; usually associated with excessive secretion of serotonin.

Adenomyosarcoma: malignant renal tumor of young children characterized by hypertension and blood in the urine and the presence of a palpable mass.

Myoma: a benign tumor composed of muscle tissue.

Cancer: any malignant growth or tumor caused by abnormal and uncontrolled cell division; it may spread to other parts of the body through the lymphatic system or the blood stream.

Invasion: (pathology) the spread of pathogenic microorganisms or malignant cells to new sites in the body.

Boneless: being without a bone or bones.

Fracture: break (a bone).

Bonelike: resembling bone.

Bonelet: a small bone; especially one in the middle ear.

Hyoid: of or relating to the hyoid bone.

Epiphyseal: relating to the epiphysis of a bone.
