Chilka : چِھلکا

1. Peel, Skin : چھلکا : (noun) the rind of a fruit or vegetable.

2. Desquamation, Peeling, Shedding : جھڑنا - گرنا - چھلکا : (noun) loss of bits of outer skin by peeling or shedding or coming off in scales.

3. Aril : چھلکا : (noun) fleshy and usually brightly colored cover of some seeds that develops from the ovule stalk and partially or entirely envelopes the seed.

4. Chaff, Husk, Shuck, Stalk, Straw, Stubble : چھال - چھلکا - بھوسی : (noun) material consisting of seed coverings and small pieces of stem or leaves that have been separated from the seeds.
