Represent: be a delegate or spokesperson for; represent somebody`s interest or be a proxy or substitute for, as of politicians and office holders representing their constituents, or of a tenant representing other tenants in a housing dispute.

Acoustic Spectrum: the distribution of energy as a function of frequency for a particular sound source.

High-Pass Filter: a filter that passes frequencies above a certain value and attenuates frequencies below that value.

Heterodyne: combine (a radio frequency wave) with a locally generated wave of a different frequency so as to produce a new frequency equal to the sum or the difference between the two.

Heterodyne Receiver: a radio receiver that combines a locally generated frequency with the carrier frequency to produce a supersonic signal that is demodulated and amplified.
