Endocarp: the hard inner (usually woody) layer of the pericarp of some fruits (as peaches or plums or cherries or olives) that contains the seed.

Bacca: an indehiscent fruit derived from a single ovary having one or many seeds within a fleshy wall or pericarp: e.g. grape; tomato; cranberry.

Average: relating to or constituting the middle value of an ordered set of values (or the average of the middle two in a set with an even number of values).

Layered: with one layer on top of another.

Interlayer: a layer placed between other layers.
