Escritoire: a desk used for writing.

Clipboard: a small writing board with a clip at the top for holding papers.

Clapboard: a long thin board with one edge thicker than the other; used as siding by lapping one board over the board below.

Dandle Board: a plaything consisting of a board balanced on a fulcrum; the board is ridden up and down by children at either end.

Drawing Pin: a tack for attaching papers to a bulletin board or drawing board.

Hebraic Alphabet: a Semitic alphabet used since the 5th century BC for writing the Hebrew language (and later for writing Yiddish and Ladino).

Crayon: writing implement consisting of a colored stick of composition wax used for writing and drawing.
