Rad: the unit of plane angle adopted under the Systeme International d'Unites; equal to the angle at the center of a circle subtended by an arc equal in length to the radius (approximately 57.295 degrees).

Gonioscopy: an examination of the front part of the eye to check the angle where the iris meets the cornea; it is used to distinguish between open-angle glaucoma and closed-angle glaucoma.

Ellipse: a closed plane curve resulting from the intersection of a circular cone and a plane cutting completely through it.

Circular Plane: a plane with a flexible face that can plane concave or convex surfaces.

Sagittal: located in a plane that is parallel to the central plane of the sagittal suture.

Right Angle: the 90 degree angle between two perpendicular lines.

Corner: an interior angle formed by two meeting walls.

Crotch: the region of the angle formed by the junction of two branches.

Polygon: a closed plane figure bounded by straight sides.
